Sleep Support
What we know
Sleep is not just a routine, it’s a developmental need. In the first three years, sleep plays a crucial role in brain maturation, emotional regulation, and physical growth. Fragmented or insufficient sleep has been linked to higher levels of cortisol in infants (Scher et al., 2010) and challenges in attachment formation. Research also shows that how sleep is supported significantly impacts both infant well-being and parent mental health (Douglas & Hill, 2013).
What I bring
I hold a Level 4 Sleep Training certificate and I approach sleep support through an attachment and nervous system-informed lens. I don’t use rigid schedules or cry-out methods. Instead, I work with each family to understand their sleep story, their child’s temperament, and their own emotional needs and values. My work is influenced by responsive sleep approaches and an understanding of self and co-regulation.
How I can help you
Whether you're in the thick of hourly wake-ups, nap battles, or bedtime resistance, I will help you make sense of what’s happening and why. Together, we’ll create sustainable strategies that honour your child’s developmental stage and your family’s reality. The goal isn’t just perfect sleep — it’s rest, regulation, and realistic rhythms for everyone.
