Children don’t just grow, they develop in relational, emotional, and neurological layers, shaped by both biology and caregiving. The first 1,000 days are a sensitive period for brain architecture, especially in areas related to emotion regulation, sensory integration, and relational trust (Center on the Developing Child, Harvard, 2007). While developmental milestones offer general markers, what matters more is attunement — recognizing the signals behind the behaviour and supporting secure emotional scaffolding.

My postgraduate training in Early Childhood Mental Health (Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust) allows me to view development not as a checklist, but as a dynamic interplay of brain, body, and relationships. I understand how trauma, environment, temperament, and family systems impact a child’s path and how we can support that path compassionately. My guidance is grounded in up-to-date neurodevelopmental science, and also in real-life caregiving.

If you’re unsure whether your child is ‘on track,’ or you feel something is ‘off,’ I will offer calm, clear insight, without panic, pressure, or pathologizing. Delays, leaps, and regressions are all part of typical development, yet they often cause deep anxiety in parents. I will help you navigate these moments with confidence. We’ll explore what your child might be communicating, how their development can be supported in daily life, and how you can respond with confidence and care. My role is to empower you, not to alarm you.
