Feeding Support
What we know
Feeding is about more than nutrition — it’s about trust, autonomy, and sensory experiences. The transition from milk to solids can bring up anxiety for both parent and child. Pressuring, distracting, or restricting children at mealtimes is linked to later feeding issues and emotional eating patterns (Harris et al., 2018). “Picky” eating often reflects sensory sensitivities, emotional stress, or unmet autonomy needs (Katja Rowell, Helping Your Child with Extreme Picky Eating).
What I bring
With my extensive hands-on experience supporting families, I’ve guided dozens through feeding journeys, from first tastes to food refusal. I understand the emotional charge that surrounds meals, especially when parents feel judged or out of control.
How I can help you
Whether you’re beginning weaning or in the middle of mealtime stress, I will help you build a feeding relationship rooted in trust, not tension. We’ll explore routines, food exposure, your child’s sensory profile, and your own feeding history, because it all matters. No more power struggles, no more shame — just small, sustainable shifts that foster connection around food.
What parents say
“Kremi’s care is supported by an enviable level of experience and knowledge on child psychology. From the first time she looked after our son, I had full confidence that he would be happy and comfortable, and it wasn't long before she was sending me photographs of him happily feeding the ducks and enjoying a lunch out at the local cafe!”
“She was an incredible support with feeding and weaning, making sure the children had healthy eating habits and a sense of structure that made our lives so much easier.”
